M'akola Group of SociEties

The Society was originally established to provide safe, affordable housing for families of First Nations ancestry who were in core need of housing in urban centres on Vancouver Island. Since that time the Society and its mandate have expanded into what is now the M’akola Group of Societies, consisting of seven Societies.

Vision

The Vision of the M’akola Group of Societies is:

To provide homes* primarily for Aboriginal people, where they can have pride and feel connected to traditional values and a community.

* “Homes” includes a range of residential programs and services, including those that provide appropriate care and support

Mission Statement
